1st Quarter (Jan.-March) Cultural Experience: February-“The Civil Rights Experience: The Man, The Mission & The Message!” Tour

Locations to be visited:

2nd Quarter (April-June) Cultural Experience: June-“Exploring America’s Historic Landmarks” Tour

Locations to be visited:

3rd Quarter (July-September) Cultural Experience: September (Labor Day Weekend)-“Enjoying an American Pastime – Baseball & BBQ!”

Location to be visited:

Local Ball Park & Pavilion, where we will host a baseball tournament amongst exchange teachers & participants, and culminate with a BBQ

4th Quarter (Oct.-December) Cultural Experience: December- “Experiencing an American Christmas Celebration!”

Location to be visited:

We will host a Christmas Party and Gift Exchange Celebration, as a demonstration of the American Christmas holiday and traditions. We will incorporate a Christmas Traditions Around The Worldportion of the event, where each exchange teacher will share/show one cultural Christmas tradition from their homeland/culture, as a way to explore the rich diversity of cultures the New Hope, LLC program has to offer. This event will take place at a designated local facility.

Community Give-Back Program

There will be tentatively 4-6 Community Give-Back events per year.

Dates: Give Back events will take place on the 5th Saturday of the month, with the exception of December, which will be held an earlier Saturday in the month.

Times: Give Back events will last for 90 minutes. 10am – 11:30am

Location: Live Oak Parkway, Norcross GA, 30093

Activities: Sessions will consist of STEAM-based tutoring in the areas of math and science.

Educational Component:

We will offer free STEAM-based Math and Science tutoring for children ages 6-18 years of age. Students will need to pre-register and provide the areas of tutoring they would like help in, ie. 6th grade Math, dividing decimals; 8th grade Science, density. Sessions will be 90-minutes in length.
